CAM Plant

This is a pineapple. A pineapple is an example of  a CAM plant. CAM stands for Crassulacean Acid Metabolism. CAM plants can withstand high temperatures, low moisture, and intense sunlight. CAM plants minimize photorespiration and save water by separating steps in time.
